I started my AI journey about two years ago and it has been a steady series of progressions that led to our patent pending technologies. I did not get into AI with any grand plans. I am a business advisor and I did not think that I could advise businesses properly without understanding AI. I took some classes and I started to see the power of AI.
The first application that I built was horrible. It was effectively a searchable RAG database with all of my knowledge built in. It had a small amount of utility if an advisor wanted to effectively ask a question and get an answer based on my thirty years of experience. However, it just ended up being a mini LLM with my thoughts and no structure.
The second application that I built was a system with structured logic that could analyze a company across nine functional dimensions. Each module (strategic planning and marketing were two examples) formed the basis of a plan with action items, execution strategies, measurement and accountabilities. This was the baby version of our core system called STAR.
The third version got me much closer to where I wanted to end up. Every step and every module were tied to value creation and buyer ease. STAR went from a pure planning tool to an execution tool that provided consistent and predictive outcomes. It gave me the ability to productize my service model to significantly reduce my service delivery costs.
We have evolved over the past year from being a single product company into a company with approximately 100 systems, 50 diagnostics, and countless training programs. We really only utilize 8-10 systems and their associated diagnostics for the most part. The other systems were built for specialty groups and specialty service offerings. They are available if needed.
Here is a brief description of STAR and some of the additional functional areas that have their own systems and productized packages.
