The vast majority of consultants and professional service providers are still trading time for money. The AI pattern matching alone dilutes the advice and clients are not even going to pay for advice. They will pay for outcomes.
An AI first consulting or professional services firms that can drive their business valuation from 20m to 50m over five years must develop the following advantages.
They must be able to move with unprecedented speed to help clients make strategic pivots that keep them ahead of competitors in a rapidly changing business world.
They must be able to provide far deeper insights and analysis to drive the strategic choices for clients.
They need to use systems to identify and mitigate risks to the client before they become significant problems that are more difficult to fix.
They need to help clients productize their services so that they achieve structural revenue and cost advantages as quickly as possible to gain industry leading pricing power.
They need to help clients achieve far superior organizational and individual capabilities than competitors in their industry.
