Read the full sample briefThe research is where the hours go and the defensibility is lost.
Every engagement starts the research from zero
The same market questions get re-researched by whoever is free, with no reuse from the last three times you answered them.
The quality depends on who did it
One analyst cites sources and periods. Another pastes a number from a deck nobody can trace. Both go to a client.
Numbers you cannot defend in the room
A partner is asked where a market size came from and cannot answer. That one moment costs more than the research did.
Senior people doing gathering, not thinking
The interpretation is the billable judgment. The collection and formatting in front of it is where the hours go.
Four steps. The consultant keeps the judgment.
Frame the research question
You
Name the client, industry, market scope and the comparables that matter.
The agent
Scopes the brief to that question and nothing wider.
Load the sources
You
Upload reports, filings and client data, or paste a public page address.
The agent
Reads PDFs, Word files, text and web pages, keeping publisher, date and address for the citation.
Run the research
You
Press run and go do something else.
The agent
Builds the citation list, writes each brief section and fills every exhibit, tagging each statement with its sources.
Interpret, approve, deliver
You
Check the citation trail, add the interpretation, approve.
The agent
Produces the brief as PDF and Word, and the exhibits as a client-ready deck.
A brief, your exhibits, and the trail behind them.
- A sourced research brief as a PDF, numbered citations to the source list
- The same brief in Word, so you can edit it into your firm's voice
- An exhibit deck with your standard tables, ready to drop into a client deck
- A citation trail showing the passage behind every figure
- Open questions the sources did not answer, listed rather than guessed at
The standard brief
- 01Market context and size
- 02Demand drivers and headwinds
- 03Industry economics and pricing
- 04Competitive landscape
- 05Comparable company profiles
- 06Implications for the engagement
The standard exhibits
- Market sizing exhibit
- Comparable company profiles
- Benchmark metric table
- Competitive landscape view
Starting point, not a cage. You change the sections, exhibits and columns to match how your firm presents work.
No citation, no claim.
The agent builds the citation list before it writes a word. Each statement and each exhibit row then names the citations behind it, so a partner asked where a number came from can answer in one click — source, publisher, period, passage.
Where the sources are silent, the agent says so. Open questions come back as a list to chase with the client, not as a confident estimate you have to defend later.
Interpretation, recommendations and the client conversation stay with your consultant. Nothing leaves the workspace until a person approves it.
Who this is for, and who it is not.
Built for
- US professional service firms of roughly 50 to 500 people
- Consulting, accounting, advisory and legal practices that sell judgment
- Firms whose deliverables lean on market, industry or comparable data
- Partners who want the research layer standardized across every engagement
Not for
- Anyone wanting the agent to write the whole report and form the recommendation
- Firms expecting access to paywalled research databases they do not license
- Legal, audit attest or investment advice
- A generic business chatbot
The objections, answered.
Where does the data come from?
Only from what you load: market and industry reports, filings, datasets, public web pages and the client's own documents. The agent does not invent figures and does not reach into databases you do not license.
How do I know a number is real?
Every statement and every exhibit row is tagged to a citation, and each citation names the source, the publisher, the date and the passage it came from. Anything the sources do not support is flagged as an open question instead of being filled in.
Are the exhibits ours or yours?
Yours. You set the brief sections, the exhibits and the exact columns in each, plus the citation standard. Every engagement then produces the same format, which is what makes work comparable across clients.
Does it replace the analyst?
No. It does the gathering and formatting. The interpretation, the recommendation and the client conversation stay with your consultant, and nothing goes out until a person approves the run.
Is our client data kept separate from other firms?
Yes. Every firm gets its own workspace. Projects, sources, your exhibit pack and your team are visible only to people you invite into your firm.
What files can I load?
PDFs, Word documents, plain text, pasted passages and public web pages. Scanned PDFs with no selectable text need their text pasted in, and some publishers block automated reads.
What does it cost?
Pricing is value based and depends on the size of your practice and how much research you run through it. Create an account to try it, then book a call and we will price it against your book of work.
Run one engagement's research through it.
Create your workspace, load the sources from a live engagement, and see the brief, the exhibits and the citation trail come back.
Then decide whether the research layer of every engagement should look like that.
